Louise and the 600 miles

The ninth edition of the Royal Ocean Racing Club Caribbean 600 regatta will take off from Antigua on Monday 20 February 2017.

2 januari, 2017 -

The race has already attracted almost twice as many entries as it had as this time last year, and is expected to improve on last year’s record entry of 70 yachts. One of the participants gearing up to sail the 600 miles of the Caribbean’s only real offshore race will be Claasen’s graceful 22.07-metre Louise.  The exquisite yacht, the gorgeous setting and the fierce competition, set against the backdrop of a gruelling, technical race, promise an unforgettable experience.

Integrating highly sophisticated technologies and construction methods, Louise is a superb example of how a design can be focused equally on racing and cruising. Launched in 2013, the adventurous sailing life she offers was typified by her maiden voyage which involved a transatlantic crossing to Brazil and a southern hemisphere summer tour of the Patagonian wilderness.
