15:02 – And Ranger crosses the line in first place, with Hanuman second and Lionheart third, just 100 m and 15 seconds behind. What an amazing race!
14:44 – Still the same 1,2,3 as the final mark is crossed and the Js roar towards the finish line. Hold on to your hats!
14:19 – Less than 10 km to go and it’s still Ranger in the lead, with Hanuman now second and Lionheart third. Breathtaking to watch!
14:09 – As if to prove how competitive these J class races are, Rainbow is now in the lead for the first time! And all five Js are within 300 m.
14:00 – Now it’s Ranger’s turn to take the lead, with Lionheart second and closing fast. Not sure how much more our tickers can take!
13:56 – Velsheda, Ranger and Lionheart are going toe to toe towards the next mark, leaving Hanuman and Rainbow in their wake.
13:47 – Lionheart has now reached 11 knots for the first time
But Velsheda has retaken pole position. Too close to call with 15 km to go.
