With an ever-growing order book, coupled with a similarly expanding average vessel length, funding requirements also begin to increase. In 2008 a substantial investor is found, while the day-to-day running of the company remains in the hands of a team of professionals with a wealth of experience in the yacht building industry.
A year later, in 2009, the aluminium specialist Bloemsma, located in Makkum, joins the concern. Although Claasen Jachtwerf has enjoyed successful collaborations with Bloemsma in the past, joining forces creates the ideal situation of having everything metaphorically under one roof. Furthermore, the availability of an 80-ton boat lift in Makkum is a welcome addition.
