Lionheart ready for summer of races

Having enjoyed some spectacular successes last year, all eyes will be on Lionheart as she enters the Falmouth J-class Regatta on 23-27 June and the Royal Yacht Squadron's International Bicentenary Regatta in Cowes on 25-31 July. These prestigious events are sure to be both glamorous and hugely competitive as the mighty Js race for supremacy in iconic sailing locations.

j-class-falmouth-2015Since her launch from Claasen Shipyards in 2010, Lionheart has been a strong competitor on the race circuit. But 2014 was a particularly impressive season as this 43.40-metre new generation aluminium J-class triumphed in multiple regattas. Lionheart proved unbeatable in the first Menorca Maxi Regatta in May, taking home five straight wins. She also came first after a close race at the Superyacht Cup in Palma at the end of June, and was joint winner of the coveted King’s Hundred Guinea Cup.

Lionheart won an exciting victory in what was generally agreed to have been the most spectacular edition of this regatta to date. These excellent results are a demonstration of Claasen Shipyards’ knack for building versatile, race-worthy yachts and we look forward to seeing what Lionheart has in store in this new season.
