19 juni, 2014 -

17:29 – Atalante and Drumfire finished the race only 0.02 seconds apart – Claasen sisterships indeed! Heartbeat now also home.

16:45 – Visione roars over the finishing line, followed by Saudade in second and our very own Firefly in third. Super stuff!

16:29 – Extraordinary scenes here in Palma as the lead changes hands four times in as many minutes. Who will prevail is anyone’s guess.

16:10 – With less than quarter of the race to go, there’s 35 km between first and last but only metres between the top three. Breathtaking!

15:36 – Wow, Visione just came close to sailing 15 knots as her crew do everything possible to try and catch Firefly.

15:10 – Amazing sight
What an amazing sight to see 21 giant yachts in full flow! Oh, and did we mention that Firefly is now in the lead!

14:35 – SY Firefly in third place
Almost at the quarter way mark and the Claasen yacht SY Firefly is now in third place. Current leader is SY Gala.

13:40 – And they’re off!
Heartbeat takes an early lead with two other Claasen yachts Drumfire and Atalante in second and third. Dream start!

12:59 – On their marks…
Over 20 yachts are lining up for the start of the Pantaenius Race. Can last year’s overall winner Heartbeat repeat the feat?

12:45 – 15 minutes before racing…
Within 15 minutes these Claasen Yachts will be competing: SY Drumfire, SY Lionheart, SY Atalante, SY Firefly and SY Heartbeat. We are very excited!

12:23 – Schedule today
The race will start at 13.00. Follow our blog for the latest news.

11:44 – Recap Yesterday
Firstly, back to yesterday. Hanuman and Lionheart shared the King’s 100 Guinea Cup after finishing tied on corrected time in the J-class race. They actually finished just behind Ranger, but she accepted a penalty for a rules infringement at the first leeward gate.

10:20 – Goodmorning!
Good morning from Palma, where the weather is warm and the expectations high for today’s racing. We’ll keep you posted!
